patient 01252010: deceased

rough show. few signs of cohesion as it was buried deep in the blue sea. hopes hung high on the early signs of life, while limp and barely breathing it was resuscitated on-site. but the initial trauma too great. the body blows too strong. the length of time between injury and treatment too long. doctors say around 10pm it went into shock. bouncing off the gurney like a new born hawk. wobbly legs and neck, sweating profusely, ghost faced, and letting its whole body be pulled to the earth like a gasoline soaked rag looking to change its state. it hit the ground, bounced twice, and combusted into a thousand pieces of raging fire and flame. melting into oblivion, so no one could recover the remains. it happens.

  1. After reading your post I thought, "were we at the same show?", but then realized I probably missed a lot since I did not arrive until around 9:30. So I listened to the Frunk. And the operative (no pun intended) word here is rough. And full of splinters! And admonishments about cell phone usage too close to the stage, and some momentary confusion as to whether it is Billy Cassis or Billy Harvey playing guitar! But while the body was in shock and during those two bounces, the adrenalin must have kicked in or something, 'cause the tunes started to gel a little better from that point on. "Yeah, I'll Do That Shit" sounds pretty good, and "Under My Skin", and the calypso style "Slower Dear" is cool. Yeah, it happens. But I'd rather be there than not when it does.
