cracking the egg set

the new year egg had yet to be cracked at antone's without the usual bob set, but the contents were fully exposed by 2 am january 3, 2010, shiny coat and all. as the band took the stage, the egg emerged for battle latching on to their gear trying to "contain the rock", but it was no match for the lonelyland batch. they cracked that egg and took it bed. good crowd and show. fun times at home and halcyon around the corner. this too is nice.

  1. I cannot understand your crazy rock-and-roll language. Perhaps my own egg has yet to be cracked.

  2. Finally finished listening to the three Frunks from last weekend's shows and Saturday's show has emerged as my favorite. From where I was positioned on Saturday night, I could not see much of the action on stage, but it sounded like everybody was very loose and really stretching their rock n roll muscles. The Frunk totally confirms it. The back to back appearances of "Bullets" and "Runnin' From the Rain", were jammy and psychedelic and awesome. My girlfriend and I had made references to "Flowerparts" during dinner before the show, and low and behold if it did not show up halfway thru the set. And, for the second night in a row, I was treated to the high-energy rocker "Boombox". I love that one! Thank goodness for Frunk!! I'll be listening to this one for a long time. Well, until the next one is burned, anyway. ;-)
